Harold W. (Bill) Moore Memorial Page
Harold William (Bill) Moore, 90, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Monday, June 12, 2017. Bill was born on April 6, 1927 to Anna Vallieu and Harold Moore, in Gloversville, NY.
Bill was raised in the Adirondack Mountains of NY, where he learned from his step-father Charles Vallieu the skills and life lessons of a woodsman.
He entered the Air Force at 17, and was stationed in Germany at the end of the war. Returning home, he fulfilled his mother’s request to get a college education on the G.I. Bill at Union College. In 1949 Bill met his wife Jeanne Catherine DuPree and began building a log cabin for them to live in. One of Bill’s proudest accomplishments was building this two story structure, single-handedly.
In 1967, Bill started H.W. Moore Associates, an engineering firm in Boston, MA. Serving his clients’ needs to the very best of his ability became the passion of his life.
Bill became a born again Christian in 1996. He embraced his love of Christ and the Bible with the enthusiasm and commitment he brought to every aspect of his life. He has written and self-published several books expressing his love for Jesus under the title Christian Musings. In his effort to share his love with the world, he has put all his work online at christianmusings.com.
Bill is survived by his four children Sharon Maxwell, Hal Moore, Eric Moore, and Carla Moore; four grandchildren, Chelsea Maxwell, Jared Moore, Jason Maxwell, and Rachel Moore; and his very dear friend Harriet Thompson.
